Reality tv programming has been around for a while now, but would you watch your own show if it was on right now or would you rather change the channel? The coolest part about being human is our ability to change! Without change there would be no real motivation to try harder, find meaningful relationships or impact the world in a positive manner! • Conquering Our Weaksauce Selves

Regardless of how productive and "good" we feel on any given day, the fact is when the alarm goes off the next morning the battle starts all over again and must strive to fight our lazy instincts. Who is the first person you meet when you wake up? It's actually yourself, but not just any version of yourself, your weaksauce self. The version of you that wants to smash the alarm clock or at least hit snooze over and over. “It is easier to resist at the beginning than at the end.” – Leonardo da Vinci In order to beat the slacker, you need to understand that the most difficult part is simply breaking inertia and getting started. We all resist change: we ....

  • How to Upgrade Your Life

We all have thermostat setting that is our comfort zone and it puts a limit on our ability to reach new heights in our health, wealth, attitude and success. The fact is most lottery winners end up back where they began after a few years and most dieters who lose weight quickly end up back in their original weight or even heavier. Why is lasting change so difficult and rare? “So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference.” -Thomas S. Monson Until our perspective changes we are trapped by our limited view and our understanding of a given subject whether it be money, relationships or healthy ....

  • Improvement: How it Actually Works

We all want to improve in a variety of facets of our lives, but how do we actually do so in a consistent manner? If you hang out with people you are better than in a particular field, chances are you will not improve very much. The sure fire way to avoid becoming complacent is to step out of your comfort zone and get comfortable being uncomfortable. “Complacency kills progress!” The less comfortable you are, the less complacent you will be and the more likely you will strive and struggle to catch back up and feel comfortable in your peer group. Turn off the Autopilot Habits are a great way to allow ourselves a break from discipline, but true discipline ....

  • Happiness is...

There are 2 kinds of happiness in this life: Temporary and Long Lasting! When we sit down in a comfortable seat with our favorite treats on our lap in the movie theater just as the movie we have been waiting to see begins we are truly happy, but for how long? 6 hours later are we still elated? How about the next day? We are all guilty of quick fix happiness distractions like Netflix, YouTube or Junk Food. The happiness is real, but when we are finished we don't exactly feel fulfilled or even proud of our accomplishment in polishing off all those french fries. “Lasting happiness comes from steadily working to accomplish your goals and advancing in the direction of your life's ....

  • Structural Alignment, Purpose, Vision, Mission & Values

What do all these business buzz words really mean and how can they help you advance in your desire to conquer the obstacles in your life? Do you know how to punch really, and I mean REALLY hard? Most people focus on the speed of the delivery, but the secret is the mass behind the punch and how you align with your body structure and your connection to the ground. When the earth, your stance, hips, shoulder, elbow and big two knuckles are all in alignment the mass behind the blow is significantly stronger and results in a crushing blow to your enemy. An enemy is anything that tries to drag you down and destroy you and the greatest enemy of all is the enemy within. Fight yourself with ....

  • Assertiveness: A way of Life... that also Stops 8 out of 10 Fights!

When confronted with a threatening situation we commonly hear about the fight or flight response, but what we don't realize is there is a space between, a sweet spot if you will and it applies in all aspects of life. This sweet spot is ASSERTIVENESS. Two common reactions to confrontation are what I call the Piglet and the Hulk response. Piglet is your shy and timid reaction that usually emboldens the aggressor and on the other side of the spectrum is the Hulk response which is over aggressive and typically just escalates the situation. The best way to de-escalate and hopefully put a stop to the entire ordeal before it becomes a fight is to react in the space between Hulk and Piglet. To ....
